(Q2) Family member or relative of Chinese citizen(s) or foreigner(s) with permanent residence status in China (no more than 180 days)
(1) Passport
a) Original passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of application,with 2 or more blank visa pages.
b) Photocopy of the information page and extension page(if applicable) of the passport.
(2) Visa Application Form and Photo
* One fully completed Visa Application Form with a recently-taken color passport photo(full face,front view,and bare head, against a light background, size 48X33mm) attached. Photo requirements
*You should complete an Online Application Form (where a Visa Centre provides such service).
Please remember to bring the completed form to the Visa Centre to submit your application.
(3) Proof of legal entry or residence status (applicable to those not applying for the visa in their country of citizenship)
If you are not applying for the visa in the country of your citizenship, you must provide the original and photocopy of residence,work or study permit in Ghana with at least 6 months of validity.
(4) Photocopy of previous Chinese passports or previous Chinese visas (applicable for those who were Chinese citizens and have obtained foreign citizenship).
If you have obtained Chinese visas before and want to apply for a Chinese visa with a renewed foreign passport that does not contain any Chinese visa, you should present the photocopy of the previous passport's data page and the photo page if it is separate, as well as the previous Chinese visa page. (If your name on the current passport differs from that on the previous one, you must provide an official document of name change.)
(5) For citizens of other countries, the following supplementary document are required:
The original and photocopy of residence, work or study permit in Ghana with a minimum validity of six months remaining.
2. Supporting Documents
1. Original and photocopy of the proof of relation between the applicant and the inviting party(Proof of kinship, Marriage certificate, Birth certificate).
2. An invitation letter provided by a Chinese citizen or a foreign citizen residing in China with permanent residence permit. The invitation letter shall contain:
a) Information of the applicant(including full name, gender,date of birth, passport number,etc.);
b) Information regarding the visit(including purpose of visit,intended arrival date, intended places to stay,intended duration of stay,relationship between the applicant and the inviting party, and details of financial support to stay in China).
c) Information of the inviting party(including name, contact telephone number,address,signature of the individual).
The invitation letter may be in the form of fax,photocopy or computer printout, but the consular officer may require the applicant to submit the original of the invitation letter.
Family members refers to spouse,parents, son,daughter, spouse of son or daughter, brother,sister, grandparents, grandson, granddaughter and parents-in-law.
3. Photocopy of inviting party’s Chinese ID (National ID card, Passport, Residence registration booklet) or photocopy of foreigner’s passport and permanent residence card.
4. Applicants applying for the short-term visit visa (Q2 visa) need to submit round trip flight ticket bookings
(1) Invitation letter may be in the form of fax, photocopy or computer printout, but consular officers may require submission of the original of the invitation
(2) If necessary, consular officers may require the applicant to provide other proof documents or supplementary materials, or require an interview with the applicant.
(3) Consular officers will decide on whether or not to issue the visa and on its validity, duration of stay and number of entries in light of specific conditions of the applicant.
