Step 1: Submit Your Application Online

This website is for applicants applying for a Chinese visa in Ethiopia. Please make sure you selected the correct location (check the top right corner of the page).

1. Create a personal account and log in. (Check the top right corner of the page.)

2. All applicants (excluding Hong Kong and Macao visa applicants) must complete the application form online:

(1) Fill out the visa application form online

(2) Upload all supporting documents, including passport, photo, and any other required materials

(3) Click the Submit button

⚠️ Important:

u  You must click the Submit button again on the "Confirm Fee" page, otherwise your status will remain PENDING.

u  Online payment is not yet available. You will need to pay when you go to the visa center after your application passes the online review

3. Wait for online review. The status will be "Under review"

(1) You may receive an email requesting additional documents or modifications. In that case, your status will be: "Rejected and to be modified".

(2) You may receive an email confirming that your application has passed the review. Your status will then be: "Online review completed". Please print the email attachment "Visa Application Receipt" and bring it along with the other required materials (see Step 2) to the visa center.

(3) You can log into your account to check the status at any time.

Application Process:

Step 2: After Online Review Approval, Submit Documents and Payment at Visa Center (No Appointment Required)

1. Go to the visa center and submit the following documents (you may be asked to provide more if necessary):

(1) Visa Application Receipt (email attachment after review approval)

(2) First and last pages of the Visa Application Form, signed

(3) Original passport

(4) One recent color photo (2-inch, white background)

(5) For S1 or Q1 visa applications, bring original proof of kinship

2. Pay the visa fee

Payment is made in cash at the visa center when you submit the application.

Step 3: Collect Your Documents

From the date you submit your application at the visa center:

Regular Service: Collect passport on the 4th working day

Express Service: Collect passport on the 3rd working day

You must present the receipt slip you received when submitting your application to collect your documents.

Submission of applications : 9:00–15:00.

Collection Hours: 9:00–16:00.
