The Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Canberra hereby announces that, effective 15 September 2025, all visa application services at this Center will be permanently suspended.From this date onward, visa applications submitted by holders of ordinary passports residing in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and the Northern Territory (NT) will be centrally processed by the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Sydney.Please check the details on Sydney’s website, CLICK HERE.

Note:

The service deadlines of the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Canberra are as follows:

1.Visa Application Submission
Deadline: 1:00 p.m.,12 September, 2025.

2.Postal Service
Deadline: 10:00 a.m.,12 September, 2025.
Visa applications received by post after this time will be rejected and returned to the applicant.

3.Collection and Inquiry Services
Applicants may continue to check the processing status through the Center’s website and collect passport in person at the Center before 26 September, 2025.
