Important Notice This must be read!

Based on a note from the Chinese Consulate-General in Kolkata, from 20th Dec 2025 all applicants are required to visit the website of the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Kolkata, at Chinese Visa Application Service Center to create/sign in your account, and then click My account to fill the application form and upload all necessary documents online. Detailed information regarding the application process, please click Step1, Step 2, Step 3. This must be read! Please note: Before submitting the physical passport and other required documents at the Visa Center, please ensure that your application status is “online review completed” and you have received a confirmation email.

To ensure the smooth upgrade of the system, the Visa Application Centre plans to carry out system maintenance from December 17th to December 19th. During the upgrade period, all forms filled out on the existing website will no longer be usable. Therefore, applicants who have already completed forms on the existing website are requested to submit their documents to the Visa Application Centre before December 17th.

From December 17th to December 19th, the Centre will shut down the system and will not accept new applications, only passport collection services will be available. Applicants are advised to make advance arrangements for submitting applications and travel plans.
