Visa Application Procedure
STEP 1: Prepare Documents as required
The documents include basic documents and supporting documents.
STEP 2: Complete Online Visa Application Form and upload Visa application documents
Please login to website : www.visaforchina.cn, choose the appropriate Visa center, register first and then make the application online. All applicants are required to complete the Online application form and upload the visa application documents, including passport, photo and required supporting documents. Please wait for preliminary review (excluding those applying for visas to Hong Kong SAR of China and Macao SAR of China).
Please note: After the application is submitted, the Chinese Embassy Consulate or Visa center may ask for additional documents, please check timely the status in “Track My Application status”.
STEP 3: Submit Visa Application documents and make Payment
1. Check the assessment result of your application: Applicants can find the assessing result in “Track My Application” once submitting the application. If the status showing “Approved”, applicants can print the confirmation from E-mail and then submit passport, documents at the Visa Application Service Center on working day (public holidays and some Chinese holidays exclusive).
2. Come to Chinese Visa Application Center to submit the following documents :
(1) Original passport;
(2) Visa Application Certificate (attached to the Approval email);
(3) The first and last page of Visa Application Form with signature;
(4) ID Photo (A recent and color ID photo, facing forward, with white background, bareheaded, in 48mm x 33mm size);
(5) Original certificate of kinship or Marriage documents, etc, if have been required to be uploaded;
(6) Other supporting documents (only if specifically requested).
3. All applicants holding ordinary passports will be requested to have their fingerprints collected. The following applicants can be exempted from fingerprints collection:
(1) Applicants under the age of 14 or over 70;
(2) Diplomatic passport holders, or applicants eligible for diplomatic, official and courtesy visas;
(3) Applicants who already had their fingerprints collected within the past five years at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Vietnam with the same passport;
(4) Applicants who suffer from 10 fingers mutilation or whose fingerprints cannot be collected;
(5) From September 2nd , 2024 to December 31st , 2025, applicants for short term visas (staying for less than 180 days) for once or twice entries will be exempted from fingerprints collection.
The Chinese Embassy kindly request that applicants shall have their fingerprints collected in person. Those forge fingerprints or use other people's fingerprints will be denied entry into China and bear all the consequences incurred.
4. The service fee in VND must be paid when applicants submit the visa application documents.
STEP 4: Collection
Please make collection and payment of visa fee in USD during the opening hours at the Visa Centre with the original pick-up form.
Working day: 9:00 AM to 03:00 PM.
Collection is on the 7th working day for regular service.
Collection is on the 6th working day for express service.
