Notice on Further Extending the Term and Expanding the Scope of the Policy of Exempting Fingerprint Collection for Visa Applications to China 

 

To further facilitate Chinese visa applications, from today until 31 December
2026, all short-stay Chinese visa applicants (less than 180 days) will be exempt
from fingerprinting. Fingerprinting will remain mandatory, according to current regulations, for
applicants for D, J1, Q1, S1, X1 and Z visas who must apply for a residence permit after entering China.
