The China-Uzbekistan visa exemption agreement is set to take effect soon
The Agreement between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Mutual Visa Exemption shall enter into force on June 1, 2025.
Pursuant to the Agreement, holders of valid Chinese diplomatic, service, or ordinary passports, as well as holders of ordinary passports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, shall be exempt from visa requirements for entry into, exit from, or transit through the territory of the other Contracting Party, provided that each stay does not exceed 30 days and the total duration of stays does not exceed 90 days within any 180-day period.
Individuals who intend to stay in the territory of the other Contracting Party for more than 30 consecutive days, or who plan to reside, work, study, engage in journalistic activities, or conduct other activities that require prior authorization from the competent authorities of the host country, must obtain the appropriate visa prior to entry.
