In order to further facilitate the movement of people between China and other countries, the Chinese government has decided to expand the scope of its visa exemption policy.

From June 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026, holders of ordinary passports from Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay shall be eligible for visa-free entry into China for a stay of up to 30 days, when traveling for purposes of business, tourism, family visits, cultural exchanges, or transit.

Individuals who do not meet the conditions for visa exemption must obtain the appropriate visa prior to their entry into China.
