Dear Applicant,

In order to enhance the efficiency of the visa application process and further improve service procedures, our visa application center, in cooperation with the Consulate General in Istanbul, will launch the Visa App online preliminary review system.

As of June 30, all visa applicants — except those applying visas to the Hong Kong and Macao SARs of China— will be required to first complete the application form online and upload the required documents to the system. Once the documents have passed the online review and been approved, applicants will be able to visit the visa application center to submit their physical documents.

(Applicants for diplomatic, service, and similar types of visas must apply directly to the relevant embassy or consulate.)

ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING THE SYSTEM UPDATE

To ensure a smooth upgrade process, our visa application center will perform a system update on June 27.

Following the update, application forms completed through the current website will become invalid. Therefore, applicants who have already filled out their application form on the current website must submit their documents to the visa application center no later than June 27.

Furthermore, in order to prevent data loss, we advise against completing the visa application form during the system update period between 09:00 on June 27 and 09:00 on June 28.

VISA APPLICATION PROCESS AFTER TRANSITION TO THE ONLINE PRELIMINARY REVIEW SYSTEM

(1) Preparation of Visa Application Documents
Visa documents include basic and supporting documents.

(2) Completing the "Visa Application Form" Online and Uploading Documents
Please visit the website of the Chinese Visa Application Service Center (hereafter referred to as the “Visa Application Center”) at www.visaforchina.cn. Locate the page of the appropriate application center, register, and log in. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the “Visa Application Form” online, upload and submit your application documents, and wait for the preliminary review result.

Except for applicants to Hong Kong and Macao, all applicants must complete the application form online through this website and upload all required documents completely.

Special Reminder:
After submitting your application, the embassy/consulate or visa application center may request additional documents. Therefore, please regularly check the “Application Status Inquiry” section to follow the progress of your application in a timely manner.

When your application status is updated to “Awaiting Passport Submission,” please print your “Visa Application Form.” The first and last pages of the form must be signed by the applicant.

(3) Submission of Documents to the Visa Application Center and Payment of Fees
Once the application status shows “Awaiting Passport Submission” and a confirmation email has been received, the applicant may go to the visa application center during weekdays from 09:00–12:00 and 13:00–15:00 to submit their documents, along with the printed “Visa Application Form.”

Documents to be submitted:
　（1）Original passport;
　（2）Visa Application Form (first and last pages signed by the applicant);
　（3）One photo (taken within the last 6 months, color, no hat, 48mm x 33mm);
　（4）Other required supporting documents.

The applicant must also provide fingerprints of all ten fingers, except in cases exempt under relevant regulations.

All applicable visa and service fees must be paid upon document submission.

(4) Collection of Documents
On the specified delivery date, the applicant may collect their documents from the visa application center using the Document Pickup Slip received at the time of application.
