To further enhance the efficiency of visa applications and optimize service processes, Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Melbourne will launch the China online visa processing system in collaboration with the Consulate General of The People's Republic of China in Melbourne (For more details, please click here). Starting from 10:00AM, 15 September 2025, all applicants holding ordinary passports (excluding applicants for visa to Hong Kong S.A.R of China and Macau S.A.R of China) are required to submit applications and upload application materials via the upgraded China Online Visa Processing System. Upon the online review process completion (review process completion does not guarantee visa approval), applicants may then proceed to the Chinese Visa Application Service Center to submit application materials.For detailed procedures, please click here.

Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Melbourne will conduct a system upgrade from 17:00 on Friday 12 September 2025 to 10:00 on Monday 15 September 2025. Following the upgrade, all application forms completed on the current website will become inaccessible.

Important Notice：

Applicants who have already completed the application forms on the current website must submit all required materials to the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Melbourne by 14:00 on Friday 12 September 2025.

From 17:00 on Thursday 11 September 2025 to 10:00 on Monday 15 September 2025, please do NOT use the website to complete or submit the application forms and materials to avoid losing your application information.

*Following the transition to the China Online Visa Processing System, the center will serve: Australian citizens holding ordinary passports who reside in Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, and Western Australia; and third-country nationals holding valid Australian visas who reside in Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, and Western Australia.
