The Chinese Embassy in Italy reminds Chinese visa applicants to beware of telecommunications network fraud (forward)
Recently, our embassy has received many calls from Chinese visa applicants in Italy reporting that criminals have impersonated the embassy or the Chinese Visa Application Service Center to carry out telecommunications network fraud. Fraudsters obtain applicants' personal information through illegal means in advance, and use technical means to disguise the phone, text messages or emails as the embassy or visa center number or email, falsely claiming that the applicant has not paid the visa fee and needs to call back immediately to inquire, thereby inducing fund transfers. The Chinese Embassy in Italy solemnly reminds Chinese visa applicants in Italy that the embassy and the visa center will not notify anyone to pay the visa fee by phone, text message or email. Please be vigilant, take precautions, do not believe it easily, and never transfer money.
