Application Procedure

STEP 1: Online Submission 

This website is for applicants applying for Chinese Visa in HO CHI MINH CITY CENTER. 

Please ensure you have selected the correct location. (Check the upper right corner of the page) 

1. Create an account and sign in. (Check the upper right corner of the page)

2. All applicants (excluding Hong Kong and Macao SAR of China) applicants are required to:

2.1 Complete the Online Visa Application Form

2.2 Upload required documents, including passport, photo and supporting materials.

2.3 Click Submit button.

Please note that:

1) Click submit on the payment page, otherwise the status will show as “PENDING”

2) Online payment is not currently available, payment will be made when submitting documents at the Visa Center after online review is completed.

3. Wait for the preliminary check and online review. (Applications may only be submitted at the Visa Center after status shows online review completed.)

3.1 You may receive an email requesting additional documents or modifications, with status changing to“Rejected”. Please make the required changes and resubmit them, then the status will change to “Under review”.

3.2 When online review is completed you will receive a confirmation email, and the status will show “Online review completed”. Please print the attached Visa Application Confirmation and bring it to the Visa Center with other required documents (See Step 2). 

3.3 You may check your application status by logging into your account.

STEP 2: Offline Submission at the Visa Center after online review is completed

              
1. Submission at the Visa Center

Bring the following documents, additional materials may be requested.

(1) Visa Application Certificate (attached to the Approval email)

(2) The first and last page of Visa Application Form with signature；

(3) Original passport. (Third country citizens must present legal entry documents)

(4) Photo (A recent and color ID photo, facing forward, with white background, bareheaded, in 48mm x 33mm size).

(5) Registered residence book or CT07/CT08 Residence Certification (Only for Vietnamese Citizens)

(6) Original and photocopy of kinship/marriage certificate/certificate of birth/foster care documents,if be required.

(7)  Other supporting materials that have been uploaded and are required.

** Please note that this step is only prequalification . Your visa application may still be required to provide additional documents ,return or be denied.

All ordinary passports holders must provide their fingerprints collected. The following applicants can be exempted from fingerprints collection:

(1) Applicants under 14 or over 70 years old; 

(2) Diplomatic passport holders, or applicants eligible for diplomatic/ official / courtesy visas; 

(3) Applicants who provided fingerprints at The Consulate General of The People’s Republic of China in Ho Chi Minh City with the same passport within past five years;

(4) Applicants with 10-fingers mutilation or uncollectable fingerprints

(5) From September 2, 2024 to December 31, 2025, short-term visa applications (staying for less than 180 days) for Single or Double entries will be exempted from fingerprints collection.

Note: If The Consulate General of The People’s Republic of China in Ho Chi Minh City determines that fingerprint collection is still required after review, the visa center will notify the applicant to provide supplementary fingerprints.

IMPORTANT: The Consulate General of The People’s Republic of China in Ho Chi Minh City request that applicants shall have their fingerprints collected in person. Those who forge fingerprints or use another person’s fingerprints will be denied entry into China and bear all the consequences incurred.

2. Payment methods

Applicants can collect their Visa result at the designated time by presenting the receipt issued at the time of application submission.

Note：The fee for applicants of third Countries may be different from those stated in the schedule. Final payment is subject to the actual amount given by the Chinese Visa Application Service Center.
