Starting from October 7^th, 2025, applicants holding ordinary passports in Gambia are required to submit visa applications at the Chinese Embassy in Gambia. The Banjul visa application center (VAC) will stop accepting visa applications on September 30^th. Applicants who have submitted their applications to VAC before September 30^th can still check the processing progress on the centre's website and collect their passport at center onsite. VAC will only delivery passport during October 7th to October 15th. Applicants who have not come to the visa center to collect their passports during above period, after October 16th need to go to the Chinese Embassy in Gambia to collect them.

In addition, regarding consular authentication applications, starting from September 15th, VAC will no longer accept new consular authentication applications. Please visit the website of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Gambia to inquire about the visa and consular authentication processing procedures and material requirements.
