Starting from 15 September 2025, the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Perth will no longer accept visa applications. From that date, visa applications submitted by holders of ordinary passports residing in Western Australia will be processed exclusively by the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Melbourne. Regarding this closure and subsequent visa application requirements, the explanation is as follows:

1. Collection. Applicants who submitted their visa applications to the Perth center on or before 13:00, 12 September 2025 may continue to check their application status via the center’s website and collect their documents in person until 13:00, 26 September 2025.

The center email (perthcenter@visaforchina.org) will no longer respond to any inquiry-related emails after 13:00, 26 September 2025.

2. Postal Service. The cut-off time for acceptance of postal applications is 13:00 on Friday, 12 September 2025. Any documents received after this time will not be processed by the Perth Centre and shall be returned to the applicant via the original delivery method. You are kindly urged to make appropriate arrangements at your earliest convenience.

3. Visa Application. From 15 September 2025, all visa applications for holders of ordinary passports in Western Australia are designated to be processed by the Chinese Visa Application Service Centerin Melbourne. For details on the new application process, please click here.
